Today looks to be a musical day.
Infact, possibly one of the greatest musicals in history!
Al Goodman and His Orchestra play
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s
South Pacific
Pretty good listen tonight! This album had clearly been played a few times, but that’s okay; it still sounded good and added in some character.
Vocals on this album featured: Richard Torigi, Susan Shaute, William Reynolds, Dolores Martin, Paula Wayne
My favorite cut was number two on side A: Some Enchanted Evening. I liked the lyrics, “Once you found her, never let her go,” along with the arrangement.
I also liked:
Side A cut 4: Bali Ha’I
Side B cut 4: This Nearly Was Mine
